Samuel E. Spaght Science & Communications Magnet Elementary School provides purposeful opportunities for students to research, inquire, discover, innovate and communicate in order to be equipped for the future. 

What We Offer

At Spaght Science and Communications Magnet, students don’t just learn about the world—they explore it. Our magnet focus on Science and Communications empowers students to think critically, ask questions, and express their ideas with confidence.

In addition to the district’s core curriculum, every classroom benefits from hands-on learning opportunities. Primary students have access to iPad carts that support interactive lessons, as well as dedicated science materials to spark curiosity from an early age.

What truly sets Spaght apart is our full-time Science teacher, who works with all students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Each week, students engage in dynamic, inquiry-based science lessons designed to inspire a love of discovery—whether they’re engineering solutions, conducting experiments, or developing STEM communication skills.
